Influence of Heat Treatment on Corrosion Resistance of Sn/Mg Films Formed by PVD Method on Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel

Double layers composed of Sn and Mg, each 0.8 μm thick, were fabricated on a hot-dip galvanized steel (8.4 μm) sheet using DC magnetron sputtering post-annealing processes. With an increase in temperature, the surface morphologies agglomerated with other. Additionally, Sn/Mg mixture sites, including intermetallic compound Mg2Sn, formed at 190 °C locally clustered 220 °C.
